Nearly a year after it began, the COVID-19 pandemic is still affecting our everyday lives. If you’ve been putting off routine dental care due to COVID-19, we understand. But at Aglow Dental Studio, we’re doing everything we can to provide you with a safe, comfortable visit.
Dr. Rosemary Ahanor is following all requirements and recommendations issued by the CDC and other health authorities, ensuring that our office in Reston is safe for all patients. So don’t wait. Contact us now to schedule an appointment, or learn more about our COVID-19 precautions below.
Before your appointment, you will need to answer some questions about symptoms you have that may be signs of COVID-19, such as a high temperature, a dry cough, loss of smell or taste, and other such signs.
We will also ask about recent exposure to people who may have tested positive, and about your recent travel habits. This helps us ensure you are not at risk of being infected by COVID-19.
We have reconfigured our waiting area to provide at least six feet of space between each person, which is one of the most effective ways of preventing COVID-19 spread between individuals.
In addition, we have removed all hard-to-clean items like magazines, and we have made changes in patient scheduling to reduce the number of people in our office at any given time. This helps enhance your safety and convenience at Aglow Dental Studio.
We have always followed all requirements from OSHA and other regulators for cleaning operating rooms, swapping barriers on chairs, and disinfecting dental tools and equipment between patients. This ensures a safe, sanitary experience for each patient.
We have also stepped up our efforts for cleaning our waiting room, bathroom, and commonly-touched surfaces in these areas. We are sanitizing and cleaning countertops, doorknobs, taps, chairs, and tables to ensure we reduce the risk of spreading infectious diseases including COVID-19, the flu, the cold, and more.
Our front office team members are wearing masks to protect you and each other, and our dental team members are accessorizing with even more PPE!
Dr. Ahanor and your dental team will always wear eye protection, gloves, and masks, and may also use face shields, surgical gowns, and head/shoe coverings depending on the type of procedure you need.
We may look a little funny, but if that’s the cost of providing you with safe, professional care in a clean and sanitary environment, it’s worth it!
